DOCUMENTS, APPLICABLE RULES AT DESTINATION...

Prepare your Car - prepare your Documents - No overloaded vehicles - Bill of loading - Check your vehicle - Battery - No hazardous cargo

- remove any personal items from your car

Most vehicle shipping companies cannot cary any personnal items in vehicles they transport.

- Shut off and or disable the car alarm.

- All vehicles must have a sufficient level of fuelLast Check Point before loading onboard the vessel

otherwise we are forced to refill, and this fuel

will be debited to you. 

 

- Please make sure to secure or remove

any loose parts or specialty items from

your car such as ground effects, spoilers and fog lights.

If you  have wide mirrors, fold them back and

lower and remove / retract the antenna if possible.

 

- Make sure the battery is charged, that the tires have proper inflation and top off all of the fluids on the vehicle.

Cars leaking oil and especially brake or transmission fluid should be repaired before presenting for shipment.

 

- Seat(s) have to remain free, doors have to be unlocked.

We need the following documents for preparing your booking:

 

 

- Car registration paper (carte grise)

- Invoice of the garage or individual from whom you bought the car.

- the Packing list

- fill the name of the consignee + adress and phone number at destination.

 

Overloaded vehicles:

- The following will be rejected for shipment:

- Overloaded vehicles, as determined by the terminal operator and exceeding the maximum  load weight allowed, are put "ON HOLD" for rectification or for removal from the terminal by the shipper

- Storage costs will be charged as from day of delivery

- the terminal operator is authorised to verify the weight of any other type of vehicle (car, van etc...) by weighing the vehicle if it is suspected to be overloaded.

Shipping documents - bill of loading:

- the original bill of loading should be available within three workingdays after the ship's departure (provided there are no unforseen circumstances)

Mechanical deffect:

 

- vehicles with serious mechanical deffects such as broken axles, broken suspension, broken clutch, no brakes, oil leaks or heavy dammage, will not be accepted.

- inaccessible vehicles (sealed doors, engine bonnet locked with chain...) will not be acceted.

Battery:

- Battery has to be accessible at all times.

 

DANGEROUS / HAZARDOUS GOODS ARE FORBIDDEN.
