AUTOTRANS strongly advises its customers to take out “Full Risk” insurance before loading.
We are ready to give you advice and submit attractive quotes. The insurance policy will be taken out on your behalf only on express order from you.
We advise our customers to cover 110% of the CIF value of their vehicle (CIF value = vehicle value + transportation cost + insurance) so that the expenses related to the handling of the insurance file (surveyor’s report, administrative charge, mail cost, etc.) can be included in the amount claimed to the insurer.
Autotrans accompany you in case of loss or damage
In case of loss or damage, we can also file and submit the claim for you to the insurance company. In that event the following documents will be required:
The original bill of lading- The original insurance certificate
- The vehicle invoice
- The surveyor’s report assessing the damage
- A copy of the reservations notified to the last carrier
